Rev. John Cook Jr., Executive Secretary
A native Philadelphian, Rev. John Cook Jr. has served as Pastor of the Victory Baptist Church of Pittsburgh since 1979. He also serves the extended Church Community of Western Pennsylvania through his tenure as Executive Secretary of the Allegheny Union Baptist Association, overseeing the for-profit and not-for-profit interests of this Association.
Rev. Cook is the former Executive Director of the Rankin Christian Center, a faith-based social service working with at-risk youth, families in crisis and individuals with developmental disabilities. He is also a past member of the Board of the Hill House Economic Development Corporation and past board member of Primary Health Care System. He serves as President for Western Manor Senior Housing and is a member of the Board of Bishops/Executives of Christian Associates of Western PA.
Rev. Cook is a distinguished graduate of Morehouse College, Atlanta, GA and holds a Master of Divinity Degree from Colgate-Rochester Divinity School, Rochester, New York.
